Mr. Alberto Yépez serves as Co-Founder and Managing Director at ForgePoint Capital.

Mr. Yépez is one of the pioneers of the cybersecurity industry and has played significant roles as a serial entrepreneur, public company CEO, board member and venture capital investor. He is recognized as one of the leading investors in cybersecurity and for his company building skills

He is currently Chairman of the Board at 4iQ and serves as a member of the Board at Attivo Networks, Bayshore Networks, BehavioSec, CyberCube Analytics, and Uptycs. He is a Board Observer at ReversingLabs and IronNet Cybersecurity.

In addition to his board work on behalf of ForgePoint Capital, Mr. Yépez is Chairman of the Board Mocana Corporation; and serves as a Board Member of HyTrust. He serves in the board of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) and is chairman of the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC). Mr. Yépez ‘s past Directorships include: Chairman of AlienVault (acquired by AT&T), BlueCat (acquired by Madison Dearborn), enCommerce (acquired by Entrust), Entrust (acquired by Thoma Bravo), Mojo Networks (acquired by Arista), Neohapsis (acquired by Cisco), Solera Networks (acquired by Blue Coat Systems), Third Brigade (acquired by Trend Micro), Thor Technologies (acquired by Oracle) and Vitria (VITR – taken private). He was also observer on the Qualys (QLYS) Board of Directors.

Prior to ForgePoint Capital, Mr. Yépez was a serial entrepreneur with a proven track record of building global businesses and leading them to successful exits. He was founder, Chairman & CEO of enCommerce, co-CEO & President of Entrust and Chairman & CEO at Thor Technologies. Mr. Yepez spent 10 years at Apple and 2.5 years at Oracle in senior management roles.

He was an angel investor in Securent (acquired by Cisco) and Apigee (acquired by Google).

In addition, Mr. Yépez worked as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Warburg Pincus, served as Executive Chairman of a Bain Capital portfolio company, and was a consultant to the US Department of Defense as part of the DeVenCI Initiative.

Born and raised in Perú, Mr. Yépez earned a B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Electronic Physics from the University of San Francisco; attended the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria in Lima, Perú.
